How Pilates Changed My Life

My mission has always been simple: to help people feel stronger, move with confidence, and enjoy looking after their bodies.
I truly believe Pilates is for everybody. Whether you're recovering from an injury, looking to improve your posture, wanting to build strength, or simply hoping to move a little more each week, my aim is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable from your very first class.
My own journey into fitness began when I was 18. At the time, I wasn't exercising regularly and my lifestyle wasn't the healthiest. A friend encouraged me to join the gym, and after just one session I remember leaving feeling happier, more energised, and completely hooked. I signed up for a year's membership that very day, and it changed the direction of my life.
Wanting to understand more, I began studying fitness and started teaching aerobics classes. It wasn't until someone suggested I'd make a great Pilates instructor that everything clicked into place. I spent a year learning the principles of Pilates and Joseph Pilates' original work, and quickly realised I'd found what I truly loved. I've been teaching Pilates ever since.
Over the years, I've continued to develop my knowledge through qualifications in Pilates, Personal Training, Exercise Referral, Lower Back Pain and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My own experiences with injury have also shaped the way I teach. After being diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter disease, I became even more passionate about understanding movement, rehabilitation and helping people exercise with confidence rather than fear.
Today, I've been teaching for over eight years, and nothing makes me happier than seeing people discover just how capable their bodies are. Whether someone joins me to reduce back pain, improve posture, gain confidence or simply take some time for themselves each week, it's a privilege to be part of their journey.
Alongside teaching Pilates, I also offer Personal Training and Online Coaching, combining strength training, mobility and sustainable nutrition to help people move better both inside and outside the gym.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me training myself. This year I completed my first HYROX Pro Women's Doubles event and Hybrid Games Mixed Doubles. I'm currently training for a HYROX Mixed Doubles and, my biggest goal of all, completing a HYROX Open Solo by the end of the year.
I also attend a weekly ballet class, which has been a brilliant way to improve my mobility, balance and body awareness. Experiencing different styles of movement helps me continue learning and often inspires new ideas that I bring into my own classes.
For me, movement is about so much more than exercise. It's about feeling stronger, building confidence, improving your health and enjoying what your body is capable of.
I'd love to help you discover that too.
